Sesh Metu Neter

Read Hieroglyphs

To fully appreciate the power of any knowledge system or culture, it is essential to learn and master the language that created such a system. Language hides the codes and essences of any nation, and the same applies to all Afrikan knowledge systems. Contrary to popular belief, Afrika is by far the one earliest continent that developed written scripts that saw the Nile Valley take a quantum leap into an unparalleled civilisation. To penetrate the hearts and minds of those who built Afrika’s River Valley civilisations, it is imperative for its descendants to study the written and spoken languages of Ta Nehisi (Kush) and Kemet, in order to fully and appropriately represent the culture, free from superstitions, misinformation and prejudices.

So, have you ever wondered how it would feel like to be able to read and comprehend the ancient Sesh script? It is simple to read the ‘Sesh Metu Neter’ or Hieroglyphic Script, which is essential for you to be an informed practitioner of Kemetic Sciences of Consciousness. This series will offer you direct experience of Metu Neter, empowering you with self-paced personal practices; while freeing you from blind faith, cultural over-compensation, new age superstitions and academic misinformation. Sesh Metu Neter is the DNA of Nile Valley cosmologies, and is strictly targeted to those committed to studying and applying themselves to Afrikan wisdom teachings.

Outline of the Series

Genesis: The series expounds on the importance of language in the emergence of civilisations, but most importantly, how language is the basis of any spiritual and consciousness systems. It briefly looks into various Afrikan written scripts, but coalesce into the Sesh Metu Neter on the Nile Valley. It starts off with the genesis and history of Sesh Metu Neter, beyond Champollion and Young. It reveals how inner Afrikan material culture was entangled with Pre-Dynastic Upper Egypt, and how this was linked to the transformation of voices to glyphs, and ultimately a sensible scripts that represented the language, the culture and most importantly, the cosmological framework that gave birth to spiritual models, statehood, prosperity systems, education, military prowess, agriculture, etc.

Tep Hesb: Tep Hesb is an ancient Kemetic principle meaning the ‘correct methodology’ or in other words the scientific process which was the basis of all field of study, including how the Sesh Metu Neter was developed. We introduce this principle as an essential process, demonstrating the Nile Valley information was indeed a knowledge system, based on systematic and scientific principles.

Reading Principles: This is part of the curriculum introduced the pre-requisite for reading the Sesh scripts, the transliteration and translation systems. This covers the methodology of direction and orientation of reading the glyphs with ease.

Form and Function: The Form and Function session introduces the actual family of glyphs, and the latest conventions that take into cognisance of Afrikan languages  of the Nile, inner Afrika, South and West Afrika. The glyphs were based on Afrikan fauna and flora, some of which were not found in the Kemet part of the Nile Valley. The concepts of mono, bi and trilaterals are introduced in this section of the series.

Protocols: Following the reading principles, form and function, the fundamentals of alphabet identification and transliteration are imperative to be mastered. These include protocols used in the application of honorific and graphic transpositions, determinatives and classifiers, including rebus principles are shared.

Transliteration: The protocols of hieroglyph identification, using the latest electronic dictionaries, like Vygus and the TLA, while at the same time introducing iSi-Ntu-Ra-en-Kemet linguistics are the core of this module. It is here that various iSi-Ntu Afrikan languages are used as reference transliteration points to demonstrate that the linguistic word-sound correspondences are really or Proto-iSi-Ntu origins, and later gave current iSi-Ntu tongues.

Translation: Here, participants are taught how to construct meaningful sentences, based on the word-sound drawn from the transliteration process above. It is in the translation part of the work that the iSi-Ntu and other Nilotic philology, syntax and basic grammar is realised – not Mediterranean, Levant, or Tigro-Euphrates languages.

Basic Grammar: The basic grammar introduces the basic rules of grammar which will leave the student with a functional process to read and understand Old and Middle Egyptian language.

The Sesh Programme

Process: This is an 8-week programme, taking place once a week for 1.30 – 2 hours, followed by home-study, exercises and group sharing. Depending on the number of participants, it is often followed by 6-10 extra support classes where students present their translations, supported by senior students of the Sesh. All classes will be given by Shekhem A Aunkh Khem S’Maa, supported by up-to eight (8) Seshw or teachers to provide a one-on-one guidance to participants before their final presentation. Presentations are designed to demonstrate basic proficiency in applying the principles and protocols of transliteration and translation. The presentations will be used as practical fields to demonstrate evidential history, material culture, cosmology, consciousness expansion practices, rituals, etc

Outcomes

All participants are expected to prepare a power-point presentation, and based on the principles and protocols of transliterate and translation. The presentation will used to demonstrate the participant’s potential to demonstrate proficiency in the following five key processes:

  • Identification of direction and orientation of each and every hieroglyphic sign
  • Documentation of each glyph, what it represents, value of sign, form and function
  • Construction of words, using the translation codes (Gardiner and others)
  • The use latest dictionaries to transliterate word, including iSi-Ntu correspondences
  • Translation, into meaning full sentences, in English, and any of the iSi-Ntu languages

Certification

After a successful presentation to a team of peers and experts, participants will be certified, that empowering them study the intermediate and advanced forms of the course. Those who are their respective organisations may go ahead and teach their students using our methodologies.

Resources

Free E-books: Free e-books that are part of the creative commons and online dictionaries will be provided. This include articles and essential reference materials demonstrating current scientific fundings on the subject.
